Dear Rotarians,

A further update for you, enabling you to make  appropriate decisions regarding your donations in support of The Fort McMurray disaster.

Many Rotarians have advised me that they would like to donate via District 5360 so we do have another option for you. From a District point of view these are three ways you can donate although there are of course many others:

- Donate through Red Cross.

- Donate directly to  District 5370`s Charitable Foundation at www.canadahelps.ca/rotarydistrict5370  (Notation: Fort McMurray Fire relief fund)

- Donate to District 5360 via The Rotary Club of Canmore Charitable Foundation at   www.rotaryclubofcanmore.ca/charitablefoundation  .  Click on the `Fort McMurray Relief Fund link and select ``choose this cause``. This takes you to an ATB web site . By going this route all donations will be matched by 15% by ATB. Tax Receipts will be issued for all donations $25 and over.

Cheques can also be mailed to:
The Canmore Rotary Club Charitable Foundation
P.O. Box 8025, Canmore , AB  T1W 2T8
(Memo: "Fort McMurray Relief Fund")

The idea here is that once funds have been collected  we will then to talk to Fort McMurray Rotarians and District 5370 to determine where these funds could be best utilised, as the town starts to rebuild.
A committee consisting of Canmore Rotarians along with other District representatives will then make decisions and forward funds to District 5370 Charitable Foundation which will then be responsible for fund disbursement. You will then be advised what your donated funds have gone towards.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Canmore Club for agreeing to take on this task on behalf of The District.

Hopefully this will answer many questions that you might have. There will also be an opportunity at our District Conference to donate.

Thank you very much for everything you are doing.  I have heard of a number of wonderful donations already.

In Rotary
