District Conference 2020 POSTPONED

Not surprisingly under this unprecedented crisis, the DisCon 2020 Committee has decided to postpone the District Conference to the first weekend in October 2020. At this time we are considering a scaled-down conference, likely to one day.

Be patient with the DisCon 2020 Committee as they work diligently to coordinate rescheduling with the hotel, speakers, sponsors, entertainment, and registrants. All will be contacted over the next few days.

Rotary Networking, Thu Mar 26, Calgary POSTPONED
Please join the Rotary Club of Calgary Chinook on Thursday March 256th from 5:30 - 7:00(ish) at Limericks Pub for our March Rotary networking meeting.
As always all guests are welcome to share a business or Rotary update.  Please bring any potential new members or business contacts as you do not need to be a member to attend.  This is a great way to meet other Rotarians, tip a pint and make a business connection.
I am excited to announce our guest speaker is Manon Mitchell from The Rotary Club of Calgary. She will be introducing us to Palladio Music and the Rotarian Connection! Palladio Music is a duet team who perform throughout Calgary for a variety of functions. Discover the best kept musical secret behind Palladio Music, The Calgary Civic Symphony.
As always all guests are welcome to share a business or Rotary update.  Please email me to let know if you would like to join us it and if you have any guests to bring.

Rex Murphy, Mon May 4, Red Deer
Rotary Club of Red Deer is celebrating our centennial in 2023 and have committed to building a multi-million-dollar project called the Rotary Wetlands Education Center.
The Center will be situated at Red Deer’s southern gateway adjacent to Slacks Slew with the aim of preserving the wetlands and providing wetlands education for
future generations to enjoy.  You can find more information and details about this exciting project at: Rotary Wetlands Education Centre.
As part of our campaign to raise the necessary funds, The Rotary Club is hosting a Mac and Cheese lunch fundraiser with Rex Murphy on May 4, 2020 at the Cambridge Exhibition Hall, Red Deer (11.30am)
Rex Murphy radiates intelligence and trustworthiness. He’s been described as “inimitable.” His endearing style brings forth a sarcastic intellect and deep insight into issues affecting individuals and businesses.
He knows what makes Canadians tick, and what drives our political and social affairs. Rex makes us important and reminds us we have culture beyond hockey.
His thought-provoking, sometimes stinging commentary and original insights are delivered through a vocabulary to make Webster’s consider updating.
There probably couldn’t be a better time to hear from one of Canada’s great humorists, intellects, and thoughtful commentators.
